Abel Flores, 84, passed away on October 16, 2026, at Trinity Manor Nursing Home in Dodge City.

Abel Flores was born on July 21, 1942 in Villa Matamoros Chihuahua Mexico the son of Abel Flores and Martina (Valles) Flores.

Abel married Juana Torrez in May of 2003 in Dodge City, Kansas, she survives. He moved from California to Dodge City in 1995. He worked as a welder for National Beef. Abel enjoyed gardening and listening to country music in his spare time.

Abel was a member of Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Dodge City.

Abel is survived by Wife, Juana Flores of Dodge City, Kansas; two brothers Jesus Flores of Arizona and David Flores of Dodge City.

Abel is preceded in death by three brothers Antonio, Jose, Armando and two sisters Maria Carmen Flores and Dolores Vargas.

Funeral Mass will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe with the burial following at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Friday, October 23, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Dodge City. Vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM Friday, October 23, 2026 at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

Memorial contributions are suggested to Abel Flores Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
