DODGE CITY - Agnes B. Holtfrerich, 85, died June 28, 2016 at Brookdale Senior Living, Dodge City. She was born on February 25, 1931 at Spearville, the daughter of William T. and Mary (Durler) Knoeber.

Agnes grew up in Spearville and was a 1951 graduate of Spearville High School. She then attended Dodge City Community College and St. Mary of the Plains in Dodge City. On May 21, 1971 she married Elwood Holtfrerich at Dodge City. Agnes has been a Dodge City resident since 1965.

She was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Dodge City.

Agnes is survived by her brother, William Knoeber and wife Joan of Sun City West, Arizona; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Elwood Holtfrerich; three brothers, Anthony, George and Vincent Knoeber; and a sister, Sister Helen Joseph.

Family rosary will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Thursday, June 30, 2016 at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be held at Sacred Heart Cathedral on Friday, July 1, 2016 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Wesley Schawe presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Thursday, June 30, 2016 from Noon to 7:00 PM.
