Dodge City - Agustine Briones-Reyes, 71, died April 19, 2019 at SunPorch in Dodge City.  He was born on September 5, 1947 in Piedras Negras, Caoh., Mexico, the son of Jose Reyes and Pricella Briones.

Agustine lived in Piedras Negras with his family.  In 1982, he moved to Texas.  He later moved to Kansas, first to Garden City and then in 1986 to Dodge City.  Agustine worked at the meat packing plants and in construction.  He was a "jack of all trades" and able to fix almost anything.  He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, watching WWE and boxing.  Agustine also helped his brother, Gonzalo, with yard maintance at the church.

He is survived by three brothers, Pedro Reyes of Mexico, Gonzalo Reyes of Dodge City, and Samuel Fonseca of Garden City; a sister, Guadalupe Reyes of Larned; five nieces; and three nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister, Rosa Elia.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City, on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 10:30 AM with Pastor Gonzalo Reyes presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, April 24, 2019 from 12:00 to 8:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to the family in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
