IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Andy Joseph
Cole
January 29, 2008 – April 11, 2024
Montezuma –Andrew Joseph "Andy" Cole was born on January 29, 2008 in Dodge City. He was the oldest child of Chris and Tamee (Schriner) Cole. God called Andy home on April 11, 2024, at the age of 16 years.
Andy attended South Gray High School where he loved to play football and hang out with his friends. He started a tradition of early morning breakfast in the parking lot before school at least once a year with his friends. He loved to be busy and was always looking for opportunities to work. In March of last year, Andy began working at Meadowlarc Welding choosing to finish high school online while learning to operate the CNC equipment and perfecting his welding skills. His love for his work was obvious in the quality of his craftsmanship and his friendships with everyone who came to the shop.
When he wasn't working, Andy could be found with his friends and family hunting, fishing, and riding dirt bikes. He loved going to the river with them to ride and would invite his friends over to work on dirt bikes. Andy liked to spend time with his great grandparents helping them around the house and playing cards. He was a member of the Gray County Shooting Sports club, where he participated in air rifle shooting, qualifying for the state shooting competition three times.
Andy is survived by his parents, Chris and Tamee Cole of Montezuma; two siblings, Brayden and Madison Cole both of Montezuma; grandparents, Rick and Lyla Schriner of Ensign and Tina Cole of Spearville; great grandparents, Maurice and Beulah Schriner of Dodge City; aunts and uncles, Todd and Michelle Schriner of Springhill, Andy and Linda Cole of North Easton, Massachusetts; Greg and Peg Miller of Ensign; and many other family and friends.
