ANNABELLE LILLIAN LENZ
Dodge City - Annabelle Lillian Lenz, 96, died February 17, 2013 at Presbyterian Manor of the Plains in Dodge City. She was born on December 26, 1916 in May, Oklahoma, the daughter of Clark Roy and Charlotta (Casler) Seals.
Annabelle was raised in May, Oklahoma, graduating from May High School. On June 1, 1936, she married Fred Lenz in May, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on July 28, 1978. They moved to Dodge City shortly after their marriage where they raised their family. Annabelle was very active in her church and with her children's school activities.
She was a member of the First Church of God of Dodge City, and a lifetime member of the Women's Missionary Society. Annabelle served as PTA president and also served on the election board.
Annabelle is survived by one daughter, Ramona Demoret and husband Larry of Jetmore; three sons, Jim Lenz and wife Judy of Dodge City, Jerry Lenz of Montezuma, and Joe Lenz and wife Linda of Maize; two sisters-in-law, Mae Bright of Harrison, Arkansas and Mamie Rall of South Point, Ohio; 16 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; and 11 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband Fred, she is preceded in death by a daughter in law, Jacki Lenz; a great granddaugher, Kayla Demoret; two brothers; and eight sisters.
Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City, on Wednesday, February 20, 2013 at 2:00 P.M. with the Rev. Darrell Hendrickson presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 from noon to 8:00 P.M..
