Kansas City - Alda Annette Aldape, went to be with her Lord and Savior, on April 11, 2023 at Tiffany Rehabilitation Center in Kansas City, Missouri. She was born on September 30, 1947 at Ft. Worth, Texas, the daughter of Ernest James and Cassie Guylene (Blair) Webber.

Annette was a 1965 graduate of Arlington High School in Arlington, Texas. She graduated in 1970 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Texas at Pan American in Edinburg, Texas. She received her Masters of Liberal Arts degree in 1974 from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. On June 25, 1977 she married Abraham Aldape in Satanta, Kansas. They made their home in Dodge City.

Annette accepted Christ as her Savior at age 7. She served with her husband many years in churches in Kansas and Nebraska. Annette was an elementary school teacher in Texas, in Sublette; she was the first director of the USD 443 Dodge City, Migrant & Bilingual Program. Annette was also a principal at Miller Elementary in Dodge City, Stanton Elementary in Stanton, Nebraska, Grandview Elementary in Grandview, Nebraska, USD 490 in EI Dorado, and Beeson Elementary in Dodge City.

She is a member of First Southern Baptist Church in Dodge City and was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Educational Society International.

Annette is survived by her son, Alexander Gil Aldape and wife Ashley of Kansas City; one step-son, Robert Aldape and wife Jayme of Grande Prairie, Texas; one step-daughter, Diana Camarillo and husband Johnny of Cedar Hill, Texas; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren; one sister, Marsha Taylor of Plano, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and husband Abraham Aldape.

Funeral service will be at the First Southern Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at 10:30 AM with Tyler Ball presiding. Burial will follow at the Kansas Veteran's Cemetery at Ft Dodge. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM with family receiving friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.  In lieu of flowers a memorials can be made to ALS Mid America Chapter in care of the funeral home.
