Anthony "Tony" Joseph Slattery, 84, died Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. He was born on January 29, 1926 at Spearville the son of Patrick James and Christina (Strecker) Slattery.

Tony married Lenore "Sally" Morlan on November 8, 1951 at Dodge City, she survives. He worked as a department manager for Kmart enterprises for 10 years. Mr. Slattery was a Colorado Springs, Colorado resident for twenty nine years before moving back to Spearville in 1988.

He is survived by his wife, Sally Slattery of Spearville; two sons, Joseph Slattery of Colorado Springs, Colorado and Randal Slattery of Falcon, Colorado; two daughters, Karen Addison and Kris Sandoval both of Colorado Springs, Colorado; sister, Christina Traylor of Spearville; ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and two sisters.

Vigil service will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Thursday, December 2, 2010 at 7:00 PM and the Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Friday December 3, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ted Stoecklein presiding. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place. Burial will take place at a later date at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Memorials can be made to the Spearville Senior Center or Parkview Retirement Center both in care of the funeral home.
