Dodge City - Arlene Stude, 71, passed away on January 2, 2025 at Wesley Medical Center, Wichita. She was born on March 5, 1953 in Spearville, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Mary Norma (Hess) Schulte.

She worked for Curtis Machine then for the USD 443 sports laundry department for thirty years. She enjoyed sewing and making blankets and loved spending time with her grandchildren and going to watch their sporting events.

She is survived by her spouse, Jerry Stude; her children, Kyler (Shelly) Stude and Tommy Stude; grandchildren, Austin, Kendall, Kennedy, Desiree, and Jason Stude, and Alex and Cade Barnett; a twin sister, Darlene Rucker; and siblings, Charlene Halling, Dallas, Merle, Albert, and George Schulte.

Funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church on Saturday January 11, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Robert Allmann presiding.  Burial will follow at St. Michael's Cemetery in Hodgeman County.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 10, 2025 from noon to 8 PM.
