Dodge City – Baby, Hector Tadeo Ortiz Perez, passed away on September 7, 2025 at his home.  He was born on July 9, 2025 in Dodge City, Kansas; the son of Jesus F. Ortiz Perez and Maria I. Perez Pantoja.

He was a very happy baby. He was so loved by so many, especially his cousin, Giovanni. He always laughed with big brother and was such a good baby. Hector was a warrior. Despite a tough labor, mom and baby made it through. He fought hard to be born. Papa would be the first to get to him as soon as he would hear the smallest cry or sound, they had an amazing bond. He enjoyed car rides with some music as it would make him sleep.  He was a very smart and loving baby, he would stop crying as soon as he would see mommy coming because mommy had the milk he loved. He also loved being held by daddy.

He is survived by his parents; brother, Jesus Jaziel Ortiz Perez; paternal grandparents, Sergio Ortiz and Erika Perez; maternal grandparents, Ambrosio Perez and Petra Pantoja; aunts and uncles, Jose, Juan, Julio, Mariana, Nicolas, Paulina, Esteban, and Veronica; his cousins; and many extended family members.

Funeral service will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Friday, September 12, 2025 at 1:00 PM with Father Wesley Schawe presiding.  Burial will follow at Babyland in Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Thursday, September 12, 2025 from noon to 8:00PM with a vigil at 7:00PM.  Memorials are suggested to the family in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.

Dodge City – El bebé Héctor Tadeo Ortiz Pérez falleció el 7 de septiembre de 2025 en su casa. Nació el 9 de julio de 2025 en Dodge City, Kansas; hijo de Jesús F. Ortiz Pérez y María I. Pérez Pantoja.

Era un bebé muy feliz. Era muy amado por muchos, especialmente por su primo, Giovanni. Siempre se reía con su hermano mayor y era un bebé muy bueno. Héctor fue un guerrero. A pesar de un parto difícil, mamá y bebé lo superaron. Luchó con todas sus fuerzas para nacer. Papá era el primero en llegar a él en cuanto oía el más mínimo llanto o sonido; tenían un vínculo increíble. Disfrutaba de los paseos en coche con música, ya que lo ayudaba a dormir. Era un bebé muy inteligente y cariñoso; dejaba de llorar en cuanto veía venir a mamá, porque ella le daba la leche que tanto le gustaba. También le encantaba que papá lo cargara.

Le sobreviven sus padres; su hermano, Jesús Jaziel Ortiz Pérez; sus abuelos paternos, Sergio Ortiz y Erika Pérez; Sus abuelos maternos, Ambrosio Pérez y Petra Pantoja; sus tíos y tias, Jose, Juan, Julio, Mariana, Nicolás, Paulina, Esteban y Verónica; sus primos; y numerosos familiares.

El funeral se celebrará en la Catedral de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe el viernes 12 de septiembre de 2025 a la 1:00 p. m., presidido por el Padre Wesley Schawe. El entierro se realizará a continuación en Babyland, en el Cementerio Maple Grove de Dodge City. El velatorio se realizará en la Funeraria Swaim el jueves 12 de septiembre de 2025, de 12:00 a 8:00 p. m., con una vigilia a las 7:00 p. m.
