On Wednesday, May 30 ^th , Barbara Ann Rogers, 82 years old, passed away in her home at 1209 N.2 ^nd Ave, Dodge City after an extended illness. Barbara was born June 17 ^th , 1935 to Claire and Opal Kincheloe in Iola, KS. She grew up in Iola and graduated from Iola High School. She moved to Dodge City in the mid 60's and has lived at 1209 2 ^nd Ave since 1970. She married Ken Rogers in 1970 and they have lived at that address since then.

Barbara was preceded in death by both her parents, 2 brothers, Herschel and Ronnie Kincheloe both of Iola, 1 sister, Jane Saferite of Wichita, 1 son, Gary Adams of Spur, Texas, 1 Grandchild, Michael Adams and 1 Great Grandchild, Laura Chidester of Albia, Iowa.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Ken Rogers of the home, 5 sons, Bill Adams and wife Chris of Bucklin, Terry Adams of Dodge City, Tim Adams and wife Trudi of Lubbock, Texas, Larry Adams and wife Martha of Wilroads Garden, Randy Adams and wife Cindy of Spur, Texas, 1 daughter, Laci Blazek of Dodge City, two sisters Marilyn Manheck of Iola, Jill Creeson and husband Bob of Paola, one brother Bruce Kincheloe and wife Mable Ann of DeLuth, Georgia, 28 Grandchildren and 34 Great Grandchildren.

Barb worked in the Food Services Industry in management positions most of her adult life. Places like Kentucky Fried Chicken, A &W, Dodge House Convention Center and Restaurant were just a few of the businesses she worked.

She was very passionate about working in her yard and with her flowers. She decorated the house for every holiday, At Halloween she handed out candy to hundreds of kids. She was very talented with Arts & Crafts and flower arrangements.

She will be missed tremendously by her family and friends.

Grave side Services will be held at 10:00 AM Monday, June 4, 2018 at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 at Swaim Funeral Home from 12:00 to 6:00 PM. Memorial are suggested to Hospice of The Prairie and may be left in care of the funeral home.
