Dodge City - Bart Fitzsimmons, 55, died April 10, 2023 at Trinity Manor, Dodge City.  He was born on July 31, 1967 in Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Donald and Lillian (Hessman) Fitzsimmons.

He attended some college and worked as a Shag Driver for National Carriers. Bart enjoyed coin collecting, hunting, and spending time with family.

He is survived by a son, Jarod Fitzsimmons of Dodge City; a grandson, Haven Fitzsimmons; two brothers, Kurt and Tracy Fitzsimmons both of Dodge City; and a sister, Judy Heble of La Veta, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Donald Fitzsimmons; and a sister, Marsha Horn.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday, April 21, 2023  at 1:00 PM with Pastor Kirk Larson presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Thursday, April 20, 2023 from noon to 8:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to Circle of Hope or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
