BENJAMIN "CHAMIN" CRUZ DOMINGUEZ

Dodge City - Benjamin Cruz Dominguez, 56, died May 16, 2014 at Via Christi St. Francis Campus in Wichita. He was born on January 11, 1958 at Villa Matamoros Chihuahua Mexico, the son of Lorenzo Cruz Ramirez and Paula Dominguez Quintana.

He lived in his hometown until the age of 18. Benjamin then traveled to the United States where he lived part of his life in Las Cruces, NM, Wichita, KS and the major part of his life in Dodge City, KS.

Benjamin worked in construction, in the oil fields, and most recently worked at National Beef at the time of his death. His hobbies were fishing, water skiing, and listening to music and other activities. Benjamin was a very loving father with his sons and grandchildren, and was very kind to his friends. He and Connie Martinez resided together in Dodge City for many years and they later seperated. Benjamin loved his pets, Charlie and Chacha.

Benjamin is survived by two sons, Benjamin Martinez and companion Margaret White of Dodge City and Travis Martinez of Dodge City; three grandchildren, Benjamin Martinez, Delicia Martinez, and Ashlyn Martinez; seven siblings, Ernesto Cano Dominguez, Rita Cruz Dominguez, Lorenzo Cruz Dominguez, Roberto Cruz Dominguez, Ma de la Luz Cruz Dominguez, Ma Cipriana Cruz Dominguez, and Jaime Cruz Dominguez. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lorenzo Cruz Ramirez and Paula Dominguez Quintana.

Funeral Mass will be held at Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City on Wednesday, May 21, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. with Rev. Wesley Schawe presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 from 12:00 - 5:00 P.M.. Vigil service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at the Cathedral Of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Dodge City. Memorials are suggested to Benjamin Cruz Dominguez Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
