Benjamin Najera, 27, died Friday, January 2, 2009 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City. He was born on November 26, 1981 in Liberal, the son of Benjamin Najera and Martha "Patty" Patricia Hernandez.
Benjamin attended schools in Dodge City. He was employed by G & G Car and Truck in the detail shop. He was a kind and caring person and was especially close to his mother.
He was a member of Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe, Dodge City.
Benjamin is survived by his parents; two daughters, Madison and Isabel; one brother, Jason Najera of Dodge City; two sisters, Erica Adame and Alejandra Adame both of Dodge City; his grandmother, Maria D. Hernandez; two aunts, Maribel Maldonado of Houston, Texas and Yvonne Rodriguez of San Antonio, Texas; three uncles, Carlos Tovar of El Paso, Texas, Jaime Ortiz of El Paso, Texas, and Lazaro Ortiz, Jr. of Phoeniz, Arizona.
Funeral Mass will be held at the Cathedral Of Our Lady Of Guadalupe, Dodge City on Monday, January 5, 2009 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Ted Skalsky presiding. Cremation will follow the service and inurnment will be Tuesday, January 6, 2009 at 11:00 AM at Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.
