Dodge City - Bernardo Lopez-Carrasco, 71, died November 18, 2023 at his home in Dodge City, surrounded by his family.  He was born on August 8, 1952 in Durango, Mexico, the son of Atanacio Lopez and Maria Carrasco.

He was a truck driver for many years. He was an amazing father and family man. He was very hardworking, caring and giving. He loved spending time with his family and spoiling his girls. He was always working on his truck or mechanical work with his brothers and grandsons spending time outside or having cookouts with his family. Bernardo would do anything for his family and did a lot for others as well.

He is survived by his siblings, Antonio, Celia, Monica, Julian, Emilio, Ismael, Ernesto, Javier, Ramon, and Fernando Lopez; one son, Ismael Lopez; three daughters, Libia, Rosa, and Monica Lopez; 12 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Libia Telles; niece, Gloria Lopez; and a nephew, Ramon Lopez.

Funeral service and Rosary will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday November 24, 2023 at 2:00 PM with Father Wesley Schawe presiding.  There will be no burial as cremation will take place.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday November 24, 2023 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to the family in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.

Dodge City - Bernardo López-Carrasco, de 71 años, falleció el 18 de noviembre de 2023 en su casa de Dodge City, con su familia alrededor. Nació el 8 de agosto de 1952 en Durango, México, hijo de Atanacio López y María Carrasco.

Fue camionero durante muchos años. Era un padre y un hombre de familia increíble. Era muy trabajador, cariñoso y generoso. Le encantaba pasar tiempo con su familia y darle todo a sus hijas. Siempre estaba trabajando en su camión o en trabajos mecánicos con sus hermanos y nietos, pasando tiempo al aire libre o haciendo carne asadas con su familia. Bernardo haría cualquier cosa por su familia y también hizo mucho por los demás.

Lo sobreviven sus hermanos y hermanas,  Antonio, Celia, Mónica, Julián, Emilio, Ismael, Ernesto, Javier, Ramón y Fernando López; un hijo, Ismael Lopez; tres hijas, Libia, Rosa y Mónica Lopez; 12 nietos; y muchos sobrinos y sobrinas. Lo precedieron en la muerte sus padres; una hermana, Libia Telles; sobrina, Gloria López; y un sobrino, Ramón López.

El funeral y Rosario se llevará a cabo en Swaim Funeral Chapel el viernes 24 de noviembre de 2023 a las 2:00 p.m. con el padre Wesley Schawe presidiendo. No habrá entierro ya que se realizará la cremación. El velorio será en Swaim Funeral Chapel el viernes 24 de noviembre de 2023 de 9:00 a. m. a 2:00 p. m.
