Dodge City - Bertha A. Mages, 75, died November 19, 2023 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home in Dodge City.  She was born on April 18, 1948 at Florence, Colorado the daughter of Harry and Josephine (Martin) Potter.

She married David Mages on December 13, 2003 in Dodge City, he survives. Bertha loved working on arts and crafts projects as well as sewing, cooking and playing bingo. She loved taking care of her cats and dogs. Bertha worked as a Para Professional for Beeson, Northwest and Linn Schools in the Dodge City School District. She loved watching football and cheering on her beloved Kansas City Chiefs.

She was a member of the Howard Gotschall V.F.W. Post#1714 Ladies Auxiliary and the Dodge City American Legion Post#47 all of Dodge City.

She is survived by her husband David of Dodge City; three sons Mike Lapp of Wichita; Robbie Turner of Wichita; Kevin Turner of Nashville, Tennessee and one brother Gordon Potter of Rapid City, South Dakota. She is also survived by three grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, four brothers and one sister.

Memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the American Legion Post # 47 in Dodge City, with the American Legion Women's Auxiliary officiating.
