Dodge City – Betty L. Hankins, 91, died March 14, 2022 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home in Dodge City. She was born on May 16, 1930 at Sandpoint, Idaho the daughter of Cecil and Margaret White.

She married Paul Ash in 1948, and to this union three daughters were born. The daughters were Criscilla Raye , Renae Lynn and Charla Mae who were all born in Alturas, California. Betty and Paul later divorced and she later married Neil Mellon and they later divorced, she then married Max Hankins and he preceded her in death .Betty resided at Park Plaza Towers in Dodge City from 1997 to 2017 at which time she moved to Trinity Manor Nursing Home.

She is survived by one daughter Charla Barker and husband Jay of Dodge City as well as five grandchildren Michael and Vicki James; Jeff and Adrieonna James; Jeremiah Kern; Dan and Misti James; Shauna and Vince Marshall and numerous great grandchildren and several great great grandchildren. She is also survived by one brother Spud White.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two daughters Criscilla Raye James and Renae Lynn Redman.
