Dodge City – Billie H. Taylor, 86, died August 4, 2022 at St. Catherine's Hospital in Dodge City. He was born on April 28, 1936 at Nevada, Missouri the son of Norman and Martha (Cochenour) Taylor.

He married Darlene Caprez on April 28, 1956, she survives. Mr. Taylor worked as a regional manager for all the Kwik shops in the state of Kansas. He loved to go golfing, bowling, boating, camping and playing Santa Claus at the Ambucs Christmas parties. Mr. Taylor also loved the Hornet races at Dodge City Raceway Park.

He was a lifetime member of the Dodge City Ambucs Club.

He is survived by his wife Darlene of the home; one daughter Donna Anderson and her husband Dave of Dodge City; three sons Jeff Taylor and wife Marcy of Dodge City; Darrel Taylor of Ames, Iowa; Allan Taylor and wife Belinda of Topeka. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Wednesday August 10, 2022 at 10:30 AM with Mr. Jeff  Hiers presiding. Private family inurnment will be held at a later date at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.  Memorials are suggested to Dodge City Ambucs Club in care of the funeral home.
