SALT LAKE CITY - Our loving "Daddy", son, brother and friend Bradley Duyane Wilson passed away suddenly Thursday afternoon, May 26, 2011, at his home. Brad was born January 31, 1960 in Emporia, the son of Bill and Roberta Wilson.
He grew up in Goodland where he went to high school and participated in all sports and rodeo. He pursued his dream of becoming a Veterinarian at Kansas State University where he graduated with a bachelor degree in agriculture in 1982 and a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 1985. Brad moved to Salt Lake City the day after he graduated. He started with large animal medicine, moving into small animal medicine, eventually owning his own practice, for the past 18 years, Foothill Animal Clinic. Brad loved working with animals and their owners.
He met Jamie Jenkins, while caring for her cat, they were married in 1993. Billye, their daughter was born in 1998. Brad loved Billye more than anything in the world. She will always be his "Pumpkin".
Brad was an avid Kansas State fan. He loved golfing, skiing and anything purple. His favorite thing was to play softball on Sunday afternoon with his best friends.
Brad is survived by his parents, Bill and Roberta Wilson of Sparta, Missouri; his daughter, Billye and her loving mother Jamie of Salt Lake City, Utah; sister, Nyla Milleson and husband Brent of Springfield, Missouri; brother, Rod Wilson and wife Denise of Wichita; nephews, Barrett and Caylor Milleson and Corey Wilson; two uncles, Dean Wilson and wife Kim of Yukon, Oklahoma and Leon Wilson and wife Sharron of Dodge City; aunt, Bonnie Carpenter and husband George of Warrensburg, Missouri; aunt, Barb Wilson of Salina; two great aunts, Lola Hess of Loveland, Colorado and Ruby Gum of Casa Grande, Arizona; several cousins and other special friends.
Funeral services will be held at Swaim Funeral Home, Dodge City on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to until service time on friday. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Dodge City.
