IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bruce Leon
Sonday
December 16, 1971 – May 9, 2024
Ensign - Bruce Leon Sonday, 52, died May 9, 2024 at St. Catherine's Hospital in Dodge City. He was born on December 16, 1971 in Dodge City, the son of LeRoy Sonday and Linda (Ratzlaff) Sonday.
Bruce spent his childhood in Ensign, where he attended school. When the school closed, Bruce continued his education first at Cimarron before transferring to Dodge City High School where he graduated in 1990. Bruce took classes at Dodge City Community College in welding and completed the program to obtain his electrician's license.
He worked at National Beef for a number of years before going to work at ADM and Pride Ag in Montezuma. Bruce recently had begun working at FSP in Montezuma. Bruce was a hard worker, always willing to do what needed to be done. He had a talent for being able to fix almost anything. "Mr. Fix It", as he was known by some, was always willing to help anyone in need.
Bruce enjoyed camping, fishing, and going to the casino. He could shoot a mean game of pool and had recently taken up bowling. Bruce never knew a stranger. He loved to sit, drink a Pepsi, and visit with people. Bruce had a heart of gold and will be missed by many.
