DODGE CITY - Carl K. Yeager, 75, died February 19, 2014 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. He was born on March 8, 1938 at Larned the son of Harold H. and Maurine (Moore) Yeager .
Carl was raised in Larned and was a 1956 graduate of Larned High School. After high school he attended Ft. Hays State University. Carl served in the US Army National Guard for 22 years, retiring in 1977. He also farmed in Ford and Gray Counties for over 40 years. On September 2, 1997 he married Marsha L. (Fail) Gleason at Dodge City.
Carl is survived by his wife Marsha Yeager of Dodge City; a son, Larry J. Yeager and wife Janell of Dodge City; two daughters, Lori B. Maas and husband Vern of Holcomb and Karla J. Vogel and fiance Daniel D. Denlinger of Wichita; two step-sons, Ty Gleason and companion Joyce of Dodge City and Jud Yeager of Cimarron; step-daughter, Juli Cuthbertson and husband Curt of Topeka; sister, Patty A. Smith and husband Allan of Larned; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Paul S. Yeager.
Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Monday, February 24, 2014 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Randall Jahnke presiding. Burial will follow at Kansas Veterans' Cemetery in Ft. Dodge. Military rites will be conducted by Howard Gotschall Post #1714, V.F.W. and KSARNG Military Honors.
