Sublette - Carol Alvarado, 47, died January 25, 2018 at her home in Sublette.  She was born on September 30, 1970 in Fort Stockton, Texas the daughter of Bill and Vicki (Smith) Decker.

Carol spent her childhood in Kermit, Texas.  When Carol was a freshman in high school, the family moved to Sublette.  She graduated from Sublette High School in 1989.  Carol worked for USD 374 as an elementary school paraprofessional.  She later worked for Sublette Feeders until her health no longer allowed her to work.  Carol married Joe Alvarado in 1997.  She enjoyed collecting snowmen and doing puzzles.  Carol loved to spend time with friends and family, and especially the time she could spend with her granddaughter, Laiklyn.

She was a member of the  Sublette Southern Baptist Church.

Carol is survived by her daughters, Brittany Alvarado and fiancé Mikal Behm of Mullinville and Jessika Alvarado of Sublette and their father, Joe Alvarado also of Sublette; her parents, Bill and Vicki Decker of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; her grandmother, Evelyn Smith of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Vaccillo Alvarado of Sublette; a granddaughter, Laiklyn Behm, and family friend, Kim Briggeman of Sublette

Funeral service will be held at Sublette Southern Baptist Church on Monday January 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tim Tidenberg presiding.  Burial will follow at Haskell County Cemetery in Sublette.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Sublette on Sunday January 28, 2018 from noon to 6:00PM.  Memorials are suggested to the family in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
