Dodge City - Carolyn Thompson, 76, passed away on October 27, 2024 at SunPorch of Dodge City. Carolyn was born in Dodge City, Kansas on March 15, 1948 to Edward and Annabelle Thompson. She graduated from Dodge City High School. Carolyn was a nurse for many years and worked at Dodge City Hospital, Fort Dodge Soldiers Home and for many others within their homes. She was a collector of African and African American décor, which was very symbolic to her. She was known for being very sharp. Carolyn is survived by her children Kia Watson-Thompson of Dodge City, Kai Scott (Amanda Boles) of Dodge City, and Kaleb Thompson of Dodge City, her grandchildren Destiny Thompson of Kansas City, Dustin Thompson of Kansas City, and Kian Thompson of Salina, her siblings Edward Thompson of Shawnee, Grace Thompson of Kansas City, and Timmy Thompson of Kansas City, as well as numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, sister, Judy Tucker, Aunt Bette and Uncle Harold and many other family members.
