Cathy Delores Meadows, 68, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2021 at SunPorch of Dodge City.  She was born on September 18, 1952 at Blackwell, Oklahoma, the daughter of Gerald Warren and Nancy Christine "Chris" (Hayden) Blue.

Cathy grew up mostly in Ashland, Kansas. She spent most of her adult life in Dodge City, before moving back to Ashland a few years ago. Cathy was a hair stylist for the community of Dodge City, as well as worked for a short time as a paraprofessional for the Dodge City School District. Cathy married Richard "Richie" Meadows on January 27, 1973 in Ashland; together they had three children.

Cathy was a simple person with a bubbly personality. She was an extreme believer and lover of God. She was also an amazing wife, mother, and friend. Cathy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her children and grandchildren.

She was a member of the Abundant Life Family Church of Dodge City.

Cathy is survived by her daughter, Sarah Schulte and husband Nathan of Denver, Colorado; son, Bryce Meadows of Ashland; three grandchildren, Molly Richelle Macias, Madalyn Marie Schulte, and Maverick Slade Schulte; brother, Jay Blue of Manhattan; brother in law, Ron Meadows; three sisters in law, Linda Downing and husband Greg, Joanna Stephenson and husband Bill, and Jerri Pick and husband Jeff; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richie Meadows; son, Slade Meadows; and parents, Gerald and Chris Blue.

Funeral service will be held at the Abundant Life Family Church in Dodge City on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Dr. Jim Ames and Pastor Lydia Ames presiding.  Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM.  Memorials are suggested to the Abundant Life Family Church or to an organization of the donor's choice in Cathy's name both in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
