Montezuma - Chance Morghan Wiebe, 7 month old son of Eddy and Becky (Martens) Wiebe of Montezuma went home to be with Jesus on September 9, 2013 after a battle with Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). He was born on January 31, 2013 in Dodge City.

Chance touched many lives in his short life. He was a happy baby that enjoyed his parents singing to him. His smile warmed the hearts of everyone who knew him.

Those left to cherish Chance's memory are his parents of Montezuma; grandparents, Neil and Mary Martens of Albert City, Iowa and Henry and Agatha Wiebe of Copeland; as well as great grandparents, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at Gospel Mennonite Church in Sublette on Thursday, September 12, 2013 at 10:30 AM with Pastor George Penner presiding. Burial will follow at Morningside Cemetery in Montezuma. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Montezuma on Wednesday, September 11, 2013 from noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Chance Wiebe Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home. Chance's family requests that individuals wear their "Chance At Life" t-shirts or bright colors.
