Charles Randal Waltz, formerly of Tekonsha, Michigan, 74, passed away on June 9, 2025 at St. Catherine Hospital in Dodge City.  He was born on August 4, 1950 at Lima, Ohio the son of Charles Herman and Mildred B. (Binkley) Waltz.

Charles was a graduate of Tekonsha High School in Tekonsha, Michigan. He served in the United States Navy for six years. On January 24, 1981 he married Leslie Bray in Bolingbrooki, Illinois. Charles managed the Randall Foods Plant in Tekonsha, Michigan for over 30 years. His love of history led him to be a Civil War reenactor. Charles also loved to write and had two books published.

He is survived by his wife Leslie Waltz of Ft. Dodge; a daughter, Candace Graham and husband Chauncey of Garden City; a son, John H. Waltz of Franklin, Tennessee; and grandson, Calvin Graham and two children from a previous marriage.

Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery at Ft. Dodge. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard and SWKS Veteran's Funeral Honor Guard.
