Dodge City - Clara Drach, 92, died December 20, 2011 at Via Christi Village, Ponca City, Oklahoma. She was born on January 15, 1919 at Kansas City, Missouri, the daughter of Robert and Ella (Townley) Nunley. The family moved to the Arkansas City area where she attended Cowley County and Arkansas City schools and graduated from Arkansas City High School in 1937. She married H.G. Spears on August 24, 1937.To this union were born sons, Harold Glen and James Robert (Bob) and a daughter Janice Ann. The family lived in Arkansas City, Grainola, Ponca City, and to Dodge City in 1960.

She was employed for a period of time at Kansas Soldiers' Home in Ft. Dodge. She married Carl Drach of Dodge City on March 15, 1969. They resided on a farm S.E. of Dodge City, moving into Dodge City in 1993.

She was a former member of Christ the King Lutheran Church of Dodge City and was a current member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Ponca City.

Survivors include her son Bob Spears of Farmington, New Mexico; step-sons John and wife Sue Drach of Manhattan, and Steve and wife Julie Drach of Hutchinson; son-in-law Carl Logan of Ponca City; eight grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl in 1996 and daughter Janice in 2002.

Memorial service will be at Christ The King Lutheran Church, Dodge City on Wednesday December 28, 2011at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Kent Groethe presiding. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to either Hospice of North Central Oklahoma or Christ The King Lutheran Church in care of the funeral home.
