Obituary

Dodge City – Clifford D. "Cliff" Bone, 57, died June 11, 2018 at his home in Dodge City.  He was born on July 1, 1960 at the son of   James and Alice (Cone) Bone.

He loved playing foosball, golfing, DJing, horseback riding and telling stories. Cliff was the owner of the Longhorn Saloon and founding member of the Sandhill River Band as well as Hard Rein. He loved spending time with his family and friends and never met a stranger. Cliff took great pride in maintaining his lawn at his home.

He is survived by his wife Mary of the home; four daughters Candice Wiest and husband Justin of Houston, Texas; Tabbitha Akers and husband Erik of Wichita; Chelsey Quint of Denver, Colorado: Ali Bone and fiance Kayle Chadd of Dodge City; one son Levi Bone of Dodge City. He is also survived by seven grandchildren Xavier, Fabian, Xariah, Payton, Brody, Kanyon, Adalynn and one sister Teresa Utz and husband Mike of Garden City and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Saturday June 16, 2018 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Dan Jones presiding.  Inurnment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.  Memorials are suggested to Cliff Bone Memorial Fund  in care of the funeral home.
