CLIFFORD "PETE" M. NOGGLE
Dodge City – Clifford "Pete" M. Noggle, 94, died May 11, 2011 at Good Samaritan Center in Dodge City. He was born on July 22, 1916 in McPherson, the son of Clyde Clifford and Ethel Mable (Cade) Noggle.
Pete grew up in Junction City and lived there until 1936. In 1936, he moved to McPherson and stayed there until 1938, when he moved to Garden City. Pete married Glenda Johnston in 1940 in Stockton. They lived in Garden City until 1949 when they moved to Dodge City. Pete began working on radios in 1936 and televisions in 1955. He owned Pete Noggle Radio & T.V. Repair from 1960 to 2007. He started playing the guitar and banjo in a big band in Junction City when he was 15 years old. Pete began playing the steel guitar in 1966 and played in country bands until 2005. His hobbies included rock hunting, photography, riding dirt bikes, bird watching, picnicking and fishing at the lake with his family. Pete also loved his trips to San Isabel, Colorado with his family.
Mr. Noggle is survived by one son, Lynn Noggle of Chandler, Arizona; three grandsons, Allen Barrand of Dodge City, Donnie Barrand of Dodge City, and Monty Noggle of Buhler; two granddaughters, Kimberly Park of Gilbert, Arizona and Tandi Noggle of Phoenix, Arizona.In addition to his wife, Glenda, he is preceded in death by his parents; a son, Lanny Ray Noggle; and a daughter, Lurleen Barrand.
Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home on Friday, May 20, 2011 at 3:00 PM with Mr. Phil Scott presiding. There is no visitation as cremation has taken place.
