Connie Lynn Adams, 59 of Dumas passed away on Tuesday, January 18, 2022. She was born on November 11, 1962 in Kiowa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Abe and Lorene (Unruh) Nichols.
Connie grew up mainly in Copeland, where she graduated from Copeland High School. After high school, she took CNA training and began her career helping others. She married Claude Adams on July 31, 1993 in Garden City and the couple would eventually move to Dumas where they made their home. Connie was very active in Hospice as a volunteer, with Relay for Life and loved helping others. She was also very crafty and loved to make wreaths for her family and friends. Connie will be missed by all the folks she loved to visit with.
Connie is survived by her husband, Claude of the home; stepson, Jason Adams of Clyde, Texas; step-daughter, Kimberly Adams; mother, Lorene Nichols of Montezuma; sisters, Ruth Pittser and Charles Miller of Depew, Oklahoma, Leanne Dillon of Wichita, and Joyce Burk of Geronimo, Oklahoma; and numerous other extended family members. She was preceded in death her father and twin sister, Kathy Joe Koehn Amaro.
Graveside service will be held at Salem Mennonite Cemetery, Copeland on Monday, January 24, 2022 at 11:00 A.M. with Minister Sam Unruh presiding. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Montezuma on Sunday, January 23, 2022 from 1:00 to 5:00 PM. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
