Cordelia Froetschner, 93, died November 19, 2011 at Hays Medical Center in Hays. She was born on September 5, 1918 in rural Bellefont, the daughter of Emil and Ida (Kurth) Gall. She was baptized on October 6, 1918 and confirmed on March 20, 1932 both at Zion Lutheran Church rural Offerle.
She was raised on the family farm in the Bellefont community. On September 6, 1936 she married Carl R. Froetschner at Zion Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on August 4, 2004.
She was a very active member of the Zion Lutheran Church, a homemaker and mother. She and her husband enjoyed extensive worldwide travel.
Cordelia is survived by a son John and wife Martha Froetschner of Hutchinson; two daughters, Lynn Schaller of Kinsley; Ruth and husband Wayland Schrader of Hays; 16 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, two step grandchildren and eight step great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter Barbara Gastler, a grandson Matthew Froetschner, four brothers, Herman, Edward, Adolph and Armin Gall; two sisters, Aurora Gall and Gunilda Froetschner.
Funeral service will be held at Zion Lutheran Church of Offerle on Tuesday, November 22, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. with Rev. Andrew Becker presiding. Burial will follow at Zion Lutheran Church Cemetery. She will lie in state at her home, Kinsley with visitation on Monday, November 21, 2011 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
