Cruz Bergen Neudorf of Sublette, Kansas passed away October 22, 2026 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Cruz was born on July 14, 1967 in Cuachtemoc, Chihuahua to Jake and Katharina Neudorf. He grew up in Campo 4, Reinland, Chihuahua. On August 4, 1988, Cruz married Aganetha Friesen of Reinland, Chihuahua. Together they shared 38 years of marriage.
To know Cruz Neudorf was to know a man who loved to laugh. He was never one to be accused of being quiet and for many that was a big part of his charm. Cruz had a big personality and an even bigger presence. He filled every room he walked into and now in his absence those same rooms will feel emptier. He will be missed, his voice will be missed, and the unmistakable sound of his laughter will be missed more than words can express.
Cruz had a way of making himself known. His booming voice could be heard welcoming people in, making sure no one felt like a stranger and that no one left hungry. He loved cooking up a good meal and gathering people around a table. To him food was more than food; it was an opportunity to bring people together and share stories, laugh and make memories. You could always count on him to encourage you to "Come on in!" and stay a little longer. And if you thought you were finished eating you could count on hearing him say, "Come on man, just have one more rib!" Those words along with his unmistakable voice, larger than life personality and generosity - which he was to a fault, will live on in the soundtrack of our favorite memories. They are the little pieces of Cruz that we will carry with us bringing smiles to our faces even through the sadness of missing him.
From a young age, Cruz had a love for cars and a sharp mind. He loved reminiscing about his days growing up on his family farm in Mexico and enjoyed sharing memories of the adventures in his Camaro when he was younger. He was a smart man, hard worker, and someone who understood the importance of providing for his family. Through every season of life, he showed up and did what needed to be done. Even when circumstances were at their hardest, Cruz could be counted on to keep working and to keep pushing forward. His determination and commitment to providing were a part of who he was and his hard work was a testament to the responsibility he carried for those he loved.
Cruz leaves behind a legacy of hard work, hearty meals, loud laughter, full rooms and memories that will be told and retold for years to come. Grief has a way of making us realize just how much space a person occupies in our lives. His absence will be felt deeply by all who know and loved him.Though we must now learn to live without his physical presence, the memories he leaves behind will continue to bring him close. His voice may be silent but the echoes of his laughter, his words, and his love will remain with us.
Cruz Neudorf is survived by his wife, Aganetha; daughter Margie, and husband Martin Dyck and their two children, Eric and Landon; daughter Annie and husband of Brandon Johnson, and their children Levi, Aria, Jasper, and Madelyn, daughter Ava; daughter Lisa, and husband David Klassen and their children Emily, Logan, and Lucy; his only son, Benny; siblings, Lena Wall, Tina Wall, Sarah Neudorf, and David Neudorf. Cruz is preceded in death by his daughter, Judy; his grandson, Joey Dyck; his parents; sister Mary Martens; and brothers, Cornelius, Jacob, Abe, Peter, and John Neudorf. Rest peacefully, Cruz. You will be missed more than words can say, remembered with love, and never forgotten.
