DODGE CITY - Crystal "Tinkerbell" Florez, 37, died September 21, 2013 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. She was born on April 29, 1976 at Dodge City, the daughter of Robert and Mary M. (Blea) Florez.

Crystal grew up in Dodge City and attended Dodge City Schools. She was a day care provider at the Joy Child Development Center in Dodge City. Crystal loved taking care of all her nieces and nephews. She loved cooking and getting together with family. Crystal had a heart of Gold.

Crystal was a member of the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe of Dodge City.

She is survived by her parents, Robert and Mary Florez of Dodge City; a brother, Robert Florez and wife Marisol of Dodge City; a sister, Monica Florez and Partner Russel of Dodge City; two grandmothers, Margaret Blea of Dodge City and Lupe Torrez of Wichita; four nephews, Manuel Pena and wife Maria, Michael Pena and wife Whitney, Felix Florez, and Carlos Lombrana and wife Adela; three nieces, Jennifer, Daisy, and Kendra Florez; four great nephews, Carlos Jr., Justin, Bryan, and Michael Jr.; six great nieces, Amaiya, Geleah, Melina, Vanessa, Serinitey, and Isabella; Crystal also leaves behind her cousin twinkies of Arlington, Texas and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was preceded in death by her son, Octaviano; sister, Christine; and grandfathers, William Blea, Sabino Florez and Catarino Amaro.

Vigil service will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Wednesday, September, 25, 2013 at 7:00 PM and the Funeral Mass will be held at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe on Thursday, September 26, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Ted Skalsky presiding. Inurnment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place.
