Dodge City - Darin Ray Helin, 52, died January 21, 2023 at St. Catherine Hospital in Dodge City, Kansas.  He was born on April 12, 1970 in Dodge City, Kansas, the son of Kent and Linda (Smith) Helin.

Darin grew up and lived in Dodge City his whole life. He was an owner and technician of Lucas Auto Glass for many years. He married Tonya Lantz on June 26, 1993. Three children were born to this union.

Darin loved hunting, fishing, and camping. He loved spending time with his family above everything. He enjoyed watching videos on YouTube as well as watching his son playing video games. Darin and his family enjoyed going on vacation to South Fork, Colorado. He loved visiting Summitville River and climbing the waterfall as much as he could.

He is survived by his loving wife, Tonya Helin; three children, Hunter, Fisher, and Daisy Helin all of Dodge City, KS; granddaughter, Bristyl Helin; his mother, Linda Helin of Wichita, KS; and many extended aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Darin was preceded in death by his father, Kent Helin; a brother, Derek Helin; grandparents, Karl and Charlotte (Northern) Helin and Raymond and Emma (Wright) Smith; an uncle, Gary Helin; and a cousin, Tara.

Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 10:30 AM with Ryan Ausmus presiding. Private family burial will be at a later date. There will be no visitation as cremation will take place.
