Darlene M. Demoret, 78, died Sunday, April 4, 2010 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita. She was born on September 1, 1931 at LaCrosse the daughter of Herman and Pauline (Filbert) Kleweno.
Mrs. Demoret graduated from Bazine High School. She was employed by Watersports Campground for many years. Darlene loved playing bingo and cherished her dog, Ugly.
She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Dodge City.
She is survived by one son, Roman F. Wiehebrink of Dodge City; one daughter, Ponda Soza and husband R.C. of Dodge City; one brother, Larry Kleweno of Bazine; two sisters, Marlene Trible of Bazine and Wilma James of Basehor; two grandsons, Xavier White and Suede Soza of Dodge City; one great grandson, Kanyon White of Fort Worth, Texas; and two step grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Kathy Slack; and one son, Ronnie Wiehebrink.
Funeral service will be held at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City on Friday, April 9, 2010 at 2:00 PM with Mr. Jason Goetz presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Thursday, April 8, 2010 from 12:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Memorials can be made to Darlene Demoret Memorial Fund in care of the funeral home.
