DODGE CITY - Darrel Lee Blackburn, 66, died April 2, 2021 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City.  He was born on February 10, 1955 at Dodge City, the son of William W. and Myrtle E. (Cox) Blackburn.

Darrel was a lifelong resident of Dodge City and attended Dodge City Schools. He worked at Curtis Machine for many years and then Walmart as a night associate before retiring. He loved to draw and go fishing.

Darrel is survived by two brothers, Richard Blackburn and wife Bernadine of Dodge City and Daniel Blackburn and wife Beverly of Kearney, Nebraska; three sisters, Judy Muns of Dodge City, Evelyn Nusser of Jetmore and Sandra Garza and husband Alex of Dodge City; a daughter, Melissa Leonard and her family of Florida; two sister-in-laws, Patsy Blackburn and Gail Blackburn; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Steven, William J., George, and Donald Blackburn.
