Fort Dodge - David Fredrick Dennis, 68, died December 2, 2021 at Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City.  He was born on April 18, 1953 at Independence, the son of Ertie and Bessie (Harrison) Dennis.

David grew up in Independence. After high school, David joined the United States Army, serving during the Vietnam War. After his time in the army, David enjoyed traveling throughout the United States.

David is survived by three sisters, Reba Hight, Linda Smith, and Margie Totman; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ertie and Bessie Dennis; two sisters, Erlene Dennis and Lucille Green; and two brothers, Ray Dennis and Earl Dennis.

Graveside service with military honors will be held at the Kansas Veterans' Cemetery in Fort Dodge on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at 2:00 PM.  Military honors will be provided by the KSARNG Honor Guard and the American Legion 8th District Honor Guard.
