DAVID W. STEWART
Ingalls - David Wayne Stewart, 36, died August 9, 2013 at Western Plains Medical Complex, Dodge City. He was born on December 8, 1976 at Dodge City, Kansas, the son of John H. Stewart and Thelma Shenk Gottschalk.
He married Shelly Crotinger on June 6, 2012 at Cimarron. They lived in Ingalls where he was employed as a truck driver for Gray County in their road maintenance department. Prior to that, he drove truck for Brandy Jones. David enjoyed spending time on his four-wheeler, fishing, and preparing barbeque for his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Shelly Stewart, Ingalls, four children, Ashley Smith Stewart, Alva, Oklahoma; Blake, Audrey and Wesley Stewart all of the home, mother, Thelma Gottschalk, Dodge City, father, John H. Stewart, Gunnison, Colorado; two sisters, Theresa Paul, Grand Junction, Colorado; Cheryl Stewart, Dodge City, one brother John Stewart, Morrisville, Indiana; grandmother, Beulah Shenk, Dodge City, and mother in law Ramona Crotinger and husband Lonnie, Dodge City.
Memorial services will be held at Cimarron First Baptist Church, Cimarron, Kansas, on Wednesday, August 14, 2013 at 4:00 P.M with Rev. Richard Deimund presiding. Inurnment will be at a later date in Cimarron Cemetery in Cimarron. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to David Stewart Children's Fund in care of Swaim Funeral Home, 1901 6th Avenue, Dodge City, Kansas, 67801.
