Obituary

David Anthony Timion, age 77, of Dodge City, Kansas, passed away peacefully at home on January 7, 2026. David was born on August 28, 1948, in Dodge City, Kansas, to Juanita and Nelson Timion, both of whom preceded him in death.

On March 1, 1973, he married the love of his life, Mary Ann Torrez Timion , and together they built a life rooted in faith, family, and hard work. David was a devoted husband, father, and man of unwavering faith. Family meant everything to him, and his trust in God guided him through every season of life, including a courageous ten-year journey with kidney cancer. He worked as a mechanic and in maintenance, known for his tireless work ethic. David rarely took time off, often working through years of vacation and PTO because he simply didn’t know how to slow down. Even filing for disability marked the first true year of rest he allowed himself. Outside of work, David had a passion for motorcycles, rebuilding cars, fishing, and spending time with friends. He never met a stranger, had an infectious sense of humor, and was always willing to lend a hand. He loved a good time and will be remembered as a very kind, fun, and memorable gentleman.

David was preceded in death by his children Lawrence Torrez (December 1, 2022), David A. Timion Jr. (infant), and Justin Timion (March 1, 1999); and by siblings Bob Fitzsimmons and Larry Timion. He is survived by his loving wife Mary Ann Timion; son Adrian Torrez; sisters Jodi Gordman and Glenda Donley; along with extended family and many friends whose lives he touched deeply.

Memorial service will be held at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Friday January 16, 2026 at noon with Pastor Scott Tilley presiding. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City. Memorials are suggested to the family in care of the funeral home. Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
