Dodge City - Delores Claudetta (Meadows) Welch, 84, died January 13, 2022 Western Plains Medical Complex in Dodge City.  She was born on September 14, 1937 at Little Rock, Arkansas.

Delores grew up in Arkansas and Kansas. She enjoyed reading, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She was also an active member of the First Christian Church in Dodge City, and she loved her church family.

She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Kreger of Dodge City; son, James William Steckman and wife Betty of Bryan, Texas; grandchildren, Karen Kreger and companion Sean Sehl of Jetmore, Matthew Kreger of Dodge City, Michael Kreger of Jetmore, Jennifer Resendez and husband Ross of Garden City, and John Eric Williams Eilers of Bryan, Texas; and great grandchildren, Collin Wellbrock and Gabriella Resendez. She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Samuel W. Steckman; and second husband, John S. Welch.
