Obituary

DeLoris was born on March 07, 1931 in Dodge City, Kansas, the daughter of William (Bill) and Lea Harms. She received the Sacrament of Holy Baptism at St. Michael's Lutheran Church of Hodgeman County. She later made public confession of her faith at St. Michael's Lutheran Church. Her confirmation memory verse was Revelation 2:10 "Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life."

DeLoris attended elementary school in Hodgeman County. She graduated from High School in Dodge City, Kansas, on May 26, 1949. DeLoris was active in the community of St. Michael's Lutheran Church, and Holy Cross Lutheran Church of Dodge City, Kansas. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. DeLoris was united in Christian marriage to Marvin Clyde Boger on April 2, 1950 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church with Rev. O. C. J. Keller officiating.

DeLoris had been a member of St. Michael's Lutheran Church until 1964. Of recent years, she was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. She taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School for several years and was active in the quilting group. Throughout her life she also served in the choir, was a youth group leader, and an active member of the Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

DeLoris was called home on the afternoon of November 1, 2023 at Brookdale Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs, Colorado, surrounded by her family. She reached the age of 92 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Lelah Waggoner, and her husband, Marvin Boger. DeLoris is survived by her two children, one son, Gaylon Boger of Jetmore, Kansas; and one daughter, Rhonda Boger-Linder and her husband David of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two grandchildren, Hannah Mueting and her husband James of Delano, Minnesota; and Zach Linder and his wife Bethany of Fort Lupton, Colorado; one great-grandson Whitt Mueting of Delano, Minnesota.

Funeral service will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Dodge City on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Rev. Randall Jahnke presiding. Burial will follow at St. Michael's Lutheran Cemetery in rural Hodgeman County.  Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel, Dodge City on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 from noon to 8:00 PM. The family suggests memorials to the Alzheimer's Association or the Holy Cross Lutheran Church Building Fund in care of the funeral home.
