DODGE CITY - Denise E.F. Jun, 23, died February 18, 2011 near Dodge City. She was born on January 18, 1988 at Humboldt, Nebraska the daughter of Roger Jun and Echo (Gibbs) Allman.
Denise attended Dodge City Schools and graduated from Dodge City High School in 2006. She was an accomplished flutist and received a scholorship to Dodge City Community College. Denise was currently attending Dodge City Community College where she was working on her LPN. She was a certified medical assistant at the Kansas Soldiers home at Ft. Dodge.
She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Dodge City and the International Poets Society.
Denise is survived by her parents, Ron & Echo Allman of Dodge City and Roger and Laureen Jun of Otoe, Nebraska; her daughter, Nevaeh Dalton of Dodge City, a brother, Jacob Jun and wife Ruth of Turpin, Oklahoma, fiance, Maurice Andrews of Dodge City; grandmother, Golda Mehlin of Kalispell, Montana; a step-brother, Chris; two step-sisters, Michelle and Brenna; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at First Southern Baptist on Wednesday, February 23, 2011 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Greg Savage presiding. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Humboldt, Nebraska. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 22, 2011 from Noon to 8:00 PM. Memorials are suggested to Nevaeh Dalton Education Fund in care of the funeral home.
