Dodge City - Dixie L. DiPaolo, 79, died June 4, 2018 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home, Dodge City.  She was born on August 31, 1938 at Sterling, the daughter of William and Velma (Reddick) Stout.

Dixie grew up in Sterling and moved with her family to Nickerson when she was ten. She graduated from Nickerson High School. After graduation she joined the United States Air Force where she was a typist for high ranking Air Force officials. She moved to Dodge City from Tampa, Florida and worked at Wal-Mart for many years.

Dixie is survived by her daughter, Crystal French of Tampa, Florida; a twin sister, Darlene Young of Dodge City; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents.

Private family memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no viewing as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to Hospice of the Prairie or Trinity Manor.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com.
