Cimarron – Don Atchison Clark, 70, died December 5 ^th , 2021 at his home in Cimarron, KS.  He was born on March 5 ^th , 1951 in Zanesville, Ohio.  He was the son of Richard and Dorothy (Brill) Clark.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Barbara Clark.  They were married on August 8 ^th , 1976.  Don was a musician and an entrepreneur.  He performed professionally as a guitarist over the course of 60 years.  He owned and operated a construction company in Franklin, TN.  He later became an owner operator of Clark's Corner Grocery in Fowler, KS.  Don also played in praise and worship teams, including for the radio station KJIL, and every church he ever attended.  Christmas was his favorite time of year and he would start practicing in September to be ready.

After having a heart transplant, he was able continue his passion of playing praises to Jesus.  He attended many festivals and musical gatherings including "Katie's Circle", The Swannanoa Gathering, The Walnut Valley Festival, "June Jam", "Idiot Jam", The Padgett Jam, The Kansas Sampler Festival, Pleasant Fest, and countless others.  Playing guitar with his friends was one of his favorite things to do.  He also liked gardening, fishing and camping, woodworking, and sharing with his friends on social media.

He has four children; two sons Joshua Clark of Manhattan, Kansas; Tyrone Clark of San Diego, California; two daughters Shay Clark of Cimarron; Carrie Clark of Cimarron; brother William Clark of Prudenville, Michigan and one granddaughter, Naiu Clark of Cimarron.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Richard Clark.

Memorial service will be held at Cimarron Christian Church on Saturday December 18, 2021 at 11:00 AM with Pastor David Johnson presiding.  There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.  Memorials are suggested to Cimarron Christian Church in care of the funeral home.  Thoughts and memories may be shared in the online guest book at www.swaimfuneralhome.com .
