DONALD L. DAVIS
Cimarron - Donald L. Davis, 80, died July 22, 2012 at The Shepherds Center, Cimarron. He was born on January 11, 1932 at Dodge City, the son of Omer and Rosa (Wilkerson) Davis.
Donald grew up in Western Kansas. On March 8, 1953 he married Thelma A. Guhr in Dighton. He was a farmer and mill worker.
Donald enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
Survivors include his wife Thelma A. Davis of Cimarron; a son Rodger Davis and wife Glenda, of Cimarron; two daughters, Dee Anna Courtney of Jetmore and Carol Davis of Wichita; four grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, a son Gary Lee Davis, four brothers and a sister.
A private family service will be held 10:00 A.M. Wednesday July 25, 2012 at Swaim Funeral Chapel of Cimarron with Mr. Don Davidson and Mr. Doug Ogden presiding. Burial will be 2:30 P.M. Wednesday July 25, 2012 at Dighton Cemetery in Dighton. Visitation will be at Swaim Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. with family receiving friends. Memorials are suggested to The Shepherds Center in care of the funeral home. Cards of condolence may be sent to Thelma Davis, P.O. Box 1063, Cimarron, Kansas 67835.
