DONALD K. RANEY
Dodge City - Donald K. Raney, 77, died May 31, 2014 at his residence in Dodge City. He was born on November 25, 1936 at Ellsworth the son of Kenneth William and Ruth Thelma (Grubb) Raney.
Mr. Raney graduated from Ellsworth High School. Donald married Sharron Hall on January 26, 1957. Together they owned/operated the Insurance Center of Kansas.
He was a member of the Saint Cornelius Episcopal Church and the Rotary Club both of Dodge City
Don is survived by his wife, Sharron Raney; two sons, Mark Raney and wife Toni and Matthew Raney and wife Gabriela; one daughter, Mischel Miller; two brothers, Robert D. Raney and Harry Jack Raney; one sister, Mona Busick; grandchildren, Rebecca Raney, Rachel Raney, Victoria Raney, Megan Raney, Ellen Miller, and Emma Miller; and four great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one brother, Kenneth William "Bud" Raney.
Memorial service will be held at Saint Cornelius Episcopal Church in Dodge City on Wednesday, June 4, 2014 at 3:00 P.M. with Fr. Chris Jambor presiding. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to St. Cornelius Episcopal Church Scholarship Fund or American Heart Association in care of the funeral home.
