Dodge City - Donald D.Winfrey, 87, died January 13, 2021 at his home in Dodge City.  He was born on March 1, 1933 at Dodge City, Kansas the son of Chester and Hollis (Nelson) Winfrey.

Mr. Winfrey was a graduate of Dodge City High School as well as Dodge City Community College. He married Jean Dowling on September 21, 1952 in Dodge City. He worked in the Trust Department for many years at Fidelity State Bank. Mr. Winfrey loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting, fishing and cheering on the Kansas City Royals and Chiefs in his spare time.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Dodge City.

He is survived by his wife Jean of the home, two sons, Brent Winfrey and wife Mickey of Dodge City; Brad Winfrey and wife Nita of Dodge City; one daughter Brenda Haas and husband Paul of Wichita; five grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister Marge Bickel and two brothers Larry and Darry Winfrey.

Private family memorial service will be held at a later date.
