Donna Fern (Stewart) Davis, 81, died Thursday, August 5, 2010 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home in Dodge City. She was born on November 24, 1928 in Boise City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Ray N. and Beulah Blanch (Davis) Stewart.

Donna married Norris Taylor Davis on July 10, 1961 in Newton. He preceded her in death on October 10, 2000. After their marriage they lived on the Davis family farm near Haggard from 1961 until 1993 at which time they moved to Dodge City. Donna worked for many years at the Gray County Health Department in Cimarron.

She was a member of St. Cornelius Episcopal Church of Dodge City, the Eastern Star of Ensign, and the Rotary Club of Cimarron where she was the first woman member.

Donna is survived by five nieces, Shirley Martin, Donna Hill, Juanita Garcia, Bonnie Rockwood, and Fran Thomas; and two nephews, Jesse Stewart and Tom Stewart.

Memorial service will be held at Maple Grove Cemetery in Dodge City on Saturday, August 21, 2010 at 10:00 AM with Mr. Jim Gilman presiding. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place. Friends may sign the guest book from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Friday, August 20, 2010 at Swaim Funeral Home in Dodge City.
