Satanta - Donnie Marshall Moree, 69, died May 24, 2013 at Satanta District Hospital, Satanta. He was born on May 13, 1944 at Amarillo, Texas the son of Marshall Odell and Mariam (Crawford) Moree.
When he was 5, his family moved to Liberal. He graduated from Liberal High School in 1962. Don married Georgia Lynne Unger on August 28, 1978 in Clatyon, New Mexico. He worked as a controls technician for Panhandle Eastern Pipeline of Satanta, retiring in 1999 after nearly 30 years of service. Don enjoyed his retirement by spending time with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Don is survived by his wife, Georgia Unger Moree of the home; his three children, Daniel Moreee and wife Ann of sierra Vista, Arizona, Troy Moree and wife Martha of Rose Hill, and Lynde Kerr and husband Japheth of Liberal; two step-children, Stephanie Zanghi and husband Ardon of Satanta and Kurt Deaton and wife Brenda of Liberal; a sister, Jolene Fondren of Hot Springs, Arkansas; 16 grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, Timothy "Timmy" Moree and Anthony "Tony" Moree; two brothers, Robert Moree and Jerry Lynn Moree; and a sister, Juanita Moree Nichols;
Graveside service will be held at the Dudley Township Cemetery, Satanta, on Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Rod Klingsick presiding. There will be no visitation. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army or First Baptist Church of Satanta in care of Swaim Funeral Chapel of Sublette.
