Dodge City - Dorothy May Albrecht, 82, passed away on May 12, 2025 at Trinity Manor Nursing Home, Dodge City. She was born on March 16, 1943 at Madera, California the daughter of Paul and Violet (Barber) Bradley.
Dorothy grew up in Wichita and was a graduate of Trousdale High School. She worked at Gunsmoke Truckstop and later at the Hitchin Post Truckstop as a cook and waitress for many years. In her later years she enjoyed spending time making quilts at the Dodge City Mennonite church.
She attended the Dodge City Mennonite Church.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Terry Washburn of McPherson, Jeff Albrecht of Pineville, Missouri, Richard Albrecht of Owosso, Michigan, David Albrecht of Dodge City, Billy Albrecht of Ft. Benton, Montana, and Loretta Elkins of McPherson; 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers and one sister.
Memorial service will be held at the Dodge City Mennonite Church on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 10:30 AM. There will be no public visitation as cremation has taken place.
