OFFERLE - Dorothy Marie Konrade, 90, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on July 3, 2022 at her home near Offerle. She was born on June 28, 1932 at Spearville, the daughter of Paul and Anna Marie (Suppes) Schmidt.

Dorothy grew up in Spearville and was a 1949 graduate of Spearville High School. On November 14, 1950 she married Alvin Konrade. She was a homemaker and farm wife helping with all aspects of farm life, including tending to the cattle and hogs the family raised. They also owned and operated Midway Carpet in Kinsley for several years. Dorothy enjoyed cooking, baking and taking care of her flower gardens. She always had a batch of cookies ready for anyone who would happen to stop by to visit. She was a very devoted women of faith.

Dorothy is survived by her children, Robert Konrade and wife Judy of Offerle, Dan Konrade and wife Vik of Milford, Nancy Ackerman and husband Larry of Spearville, Carol Durler and husband Rod of Spearville, Chuck Konrade and wife Janet of Spearville, Gary Konrade and wife Susan of Dodge City, Louis Konrade and wife Teresa of Spearville, Colleen Espinosa and husband Danny of Kinsley, and son-in-law, Rodney Blehm of Meade; 25 grandchildren, 62 great grandchildren; a brother, John Schmidt of Spearville, and sister-in-law, Marceda Schmidt of Spearville. She was preceded in death by her parents,; husband, Alvin Konrade on December 16, 2006; a daughter, Marlene Blehm on October 23, 1999; three sisters, Bernadine Burkhart, Pauline Schaller, and Gertie Wetzel; and two brothers, Donald Schmidt and Gerald Schmidt.

Vigil service will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at 7:00 PM.  Funeral Mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Thursday, July 7, 2022 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at New St. Joseph Cemetery near Offerle.
